Tech savvy jobseekers on the hunt for work are quickly learning it pays to ensure that the privacy settings on their social networking profiles- Facebook, Twitter, etc, are secure to outside prying eyes.

A recent Microsoft survey has uncovered that 70% of recruiters and headhunters searched for social networking profiles of job applicants and then rejected those applicants based on the information that they found.
