What we do

GoodTemps places a wide variety of employees, from laborers to lawyers and administrative assistants to accounting professionals in long- and short-term temporary assignments in the public and private sectors. We offer one of the best temp-to-hire conversion programs in the industry.

With offices in Greater New York and throughout New Jersey, GoodTemps enables a flexible workforce by matching employers with qualified, motivated job seekers in the five boroughs of New York City, Northern New Jersey, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

New York State Industries for the Disabled

As a participating member of NYSID (New York State Industries for the Disabled), GoodTemps provides quality job opportunities for New Yorkers with disabilities. NYSID - a not-for-profit member agency - has served New York State for over thirty years, advocating for and advancing employment and awareness for New Yorkers with disabilities.

New York state finance law requires city and state agencies to contract with NYSID for temporary staffing services. This allows GoodTemps to give preference to people with disabilities through many of our contracts. To take advantage of this preference, we encourage applicants who are eligible to participate in our affirmative action program.

ACCSES NJ/CNA Services

ACCSES NJ/CNA Services is a not-for-profit organization that expands employment opportunities for adults with disabilities throughout the state of New Jersey.

New Jersey state, county and municipal offices are encouraged through the State Use Law to purchase good and services, such as temporary staffing, via ACCSES NJ/CNA Services, for which GoodTemps is a member agency.

GoodTemps works hand in hand with New York state Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) - formerly known as VESID - to help individuals with disabilites and medical conditions achieve their employment goals, and to provide local businesses with qualified and reliable employees.

The history of GoodTemps & Goodwill NYNJ

Our vision and core values

For over 100 years, Goodwill has helped people through the power of work

GoodTemps was established in 1996 by Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, to meet this mission through the booming demand for temporary staff. GoodTemps quickly became the largest supplier of temps to the City of New York. GoodTemps launched its private sector solutions to accommodate demand from a variety of industries.

The revenue generated by GoodTemps helps Goodwill support mission services which includes people with disabilities, the under employed and unemployed, veterans, ex-offenders, and refugees and immigrants.

Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey, Inc. is a founding member of Goodwill Industries International’s community-based network of 165 non-profits, each with a designated region.

For over 100 years, Goodwill NYNJ has helped individuals and their families achieve a better life through programs and services that today serve thousands of people annually.

We provide workforce development services, youth and community development programs, and retail and business opportunities throughout the five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley, and Northern New Jersey.
