Job description

Under supervision, performs bookkeeping and other related clerical work requiring the exercise of independent judgment and a working knowledge of department rules, regulations, and policies and/or has charge of the work of a small group of clerk bookkeepers and/or has charge of a designated phase of the bookkeeping work of the department and other related duties as required, including but not limited to:

  • Performing general office, fiscal, and support activities
  • Serving as first point-of-contact for their assigned program. Working knowledge of office practices, proper grammar, spelling and punctuation, and basic arithmetic
  • Managing phone and voice-mail
  • Communicating effectively both verbal and in writing

What you need to have

  • Microsoft Suite, Customer Service and Data Entry
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers in a Windows environment including Microsoft Word 6.0, Word Perfect, Excel or Lotus, and database management software applications
Prior experience & qualifications
  • 3+ years of related Bookkeeper experience required
