PHYSICAL WORKSITE

Location: Bronx, NY

Hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Duties Include:

  • Ensuring that clients are correctly directed and given all available information.
  • Working with the manager to ensure clients receive accommodations due to a disability, access, or functional need.
  • The position requires considerable physical movement both indoors and outdoors to meet and assist clients.
  • People in this role must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).

What you need to have

Skills
  • Computer skills, data entry, intake, and processing experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and multitask as this is a time-sensitive process and the program is heavily regulated.
  • Ability to be clear and professional on the phone, to keep track of referrals processed and the status of the referrals.
  • Ability to read through texts and accurately transpose the information into the New York State Case Management system to create the referral electronically.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
Prior experience & qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-3 years experience working in emergency response or high-stress situations
  • Experience working with the public
  • Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Great customer service skills Experience dealing with the public on the telephone.
Languages
