  • Up to 12 hour shifts (possible overnight in hotel)

Well-known franchise is seeking reliable, motivated candidates to assist their drivers on routes to deliver products.

Duties/Requirements:

  • Stack, lift and load heavy boxes/bags and other items (dry/freezer products) onto trucks
  • Unload products and deliver to designated facilities
  • Climb in and out of tractor/trailer multiple times per day
  • Sit for varying hours in tractor during traffic on a regular basis
  • Assist driver with directions, safely stacking/loading items, using a loaded hand-truck and any other issues that arise en route to maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist driver with distinguishing between labels in various lighting conditions that may exist in the trailer/truck
  • Divert traffic to promote a safe environment for driver to backup vehicle into designated parking/delivery areas as needed (ensure that you can see driver through their side mirror while assisting). Also, guide driver through busy intersections/parking lots
  • Perform duties in an accurate, proficient and timely manner
  • Navigate through busy intersections safely with stacked hand-trucks and pallets
  • Interact well with drivers, external customers and franchisees
  • Learn product descriptions to assist in the proper delivery of products at each location
  • Assist with placing stock on shelves/racks when requested

What you need to have

Skills
  • Able to deliver items to freezers/coolers areas
  • Demonstrate good communication skills
  • Able to lift, push and pull 50-75 pounds on a hand truck or pallet jack daily
  • Must be professional, neat, well-groomed and maintain a good relationship with the driver, store employees and their customers
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 50-75 pounds on a hand truck or pallet jack daily
  • Rely on instructions from drivers to perform duties
