Worksite: Pelham Bay, the Bronx

Seeking a discreet and highly professional applicant for this position of extensive responsibility.

  • This is a c-suite staff member that works directly for the Chief Nurse Officer (CNO), serving as a reliable and confidential representative and assistant
  • Manage confidential affairs affecting the operations of 2 facilities and multiple programs
  • Oversee and document privileged communications such as expansion/downsizing, recruitment/termination, gains/loss, fiscal responsibilities, and pending actions
  • Maintain and administratively managing meeting minutes, correspondences, emails and appointments; document next-step actions
  • Maintain mission-driven values and boundaries
  • Use problem-solving techniques and policy/regulatory judgement to operate within the best interest of the facilities and programs on behalf of the CNO
  • Coordinate departmental meetings in the face of crisis; contact key staff during emergency situations related to staffing issues
  • Assist with SFS processes, travel requests and information-gathering for relevant purchases for administration
  • Address emergent actions by prioritizing directives and managing correspondences
  • Coordinate with all aspects of Facility Operations on behalf of the CNO
  • Maintain departmental employee folders; ensuring that orientation, competencies, verification of licensure and performance evaluations are timely as per regulations
  • Provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings

Skills
  • Verified typing speed of at least 55 wpm
Prior experience & qualifications
  • 5 years administrative experience is required
