Job description

We are recruiting for well-qualified individuals to serve as Special Assistants to the Director leading an initiative to expand access for clients to programs, benefits and services through inclusive digital technology. Assistants will support the Director in leading the department’s compliance with all laws concerning the provision of online accessibility to all. Will provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.

Monday to Friday 9-5

Duties include:

  • Helping with project planning and with the implementation of guidelines
  • Assisting with and responding to correspondence
  • Managing and tracking projects
  • Developing and maintaining points of contact to aid in responding to various constituencies
  • Identifying trends and recurring issues in order to review current policies and make critical forecasts
  • Effectively recording and annotating meeting minutes (face-to-face and remotely),
  • Planning and scheduling (face-to-face and remotely)
  • Establishing, coordinating, prioritizing, and execute “to do” list tasks from meetings (face-to-face or remote), initiatives, and/or leadership directives
  • Responding positively to direction and guidance
  • Providing organizational support to the director

What you need to have

  • Able to travel and to navigate the director to meetings and activities
  • Fully proficient in all office and computer skills necessary, including MS Office Suite and typing
Prior experience & qualifications
  • At least 1-2 years of related experience
