Job description

Candidates must be ready, willing and able to travel to worksite facilities in outer boroughs. The primary worksite is in Downtown Brooklyn. Candidates must be able to work early shifts, evenings and weekends.

Professional applicants with previous experience with heavy lifting are needed for this long-term assignment. Needed to perform site-to-site or interoffice moves that involve heavy lifting of furniture and other office equipment.

Daily schedule 9:00 AM — 5:00 PM

Duties:

  • Moving equipment, boxes, supplies and other materials from one location to another
  • Load and unload trucks under immediate supervision
  • Assisting in the distribution of equipment, supplies and other materials
  • Assist with staff moves and equipment moves

What you need to have

Skills
  • Candidates must be flexible and able to left heavy boxes and other equipment weighing as much as 40-50 lbs
  • Capable of heavy lifting, prolonged standing and walking, stair climbing
  • May be required to climb ladders
  • Able to perform in a high-stress worksite
