Job description

Exciting opportunity to work on a long-term assignment assisting a large organization with an important database update project. Job locations will in the Bronx, in Manhattan/Brooklyn, and in Queens. Office Assistants will support departmental staff in a variety of duties, including:

  • Assist in maintaining filing system by organizing, purging, maintaining and retrieving files
  • Preparing mailings of documents to be sent to members of the public and/or organizations
  • Helping staff to monitor office supplies (Bronx and Queens)
  • Support the departmental staff at the Reception Desk
  • Distributing incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail for shipping using postage meter
  • Performing other general administrative functions
  • Performing general maintenance of the facility and office equipment

What you need to have

  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word is required
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Successful candidates should have at least 1 year of related experience
