Open position available in convenient St. George location close to the Staten Island Ferry.

The Office Assistant provides support duties to the organization as needed.

Selected candidate will be required to transfer to another borough once project is complete in in Staten Island.

Duties:

  • Distributing incoming mails and preparing outgoing mail for shipping using postage meter
  • Heavy data entry and indexing of files in database system
  • Packing boxes of folders, data entry and records retention
  • Acting as a backup receptionist
  • Providing administrative services to staff
  • Copying documents
  • Refilling office supplies and kitchen supplies
  • Performing general maintenance of the facility and office equipment

What you need to have

Skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Able to perform data entry duties
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word as requested
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Prior related experience
