Job description

Under the direction of the Director and general supervision of the Assistant Director, the Storekeeper Assistant is responsible for independently performing professional and administrative functions related to Materiel Services (Central Receiving) abiding by USPS policies, company policies, precedents and guidelines; does related work as required.

  • Deliver packages and other assigned materials to departments according to the established procedure in a timely manner (some packages may weight over 50 lbs). Accomplish delivery of mail in a professional manner and in a timely manner to all departments
  • Organize assigned supervisory and stork work and develops effective work methods with the Assistant Director and Director
  • Assist with unloading and unpacking incoming shipments
  • Check all incoming items for conformity with order and stocks the items according to the established procedure

What you need to have

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and willing and able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential
Prior experience & qualifications
  • One (1) year of experience in working involving receiving, storing, safeguarding, and recording items, materials and supplies of varied types in an organized store room

LICENSE: A driver’s license valid in New Jersey is required to perform essential duties of this position
