Job description

Experienced, meticulous candidates with training and experience in supply chain management are sought to compile information and records for the purpose of drawing up purchase orders for procurement of materials and services. Jobsite is in downtown Brooklyn location. Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Assisting with the drafting of procurement documents
  • Preparing Executive Summaries for RFP and RFB approval, and Requests for Authorization for policy approval
  • Reviewing procurement and contract documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with procurement policies
  • Providing assistance to vendors/staff to facilitate the development, solicitation and registration of contracts
  • Working with staff to develop solicitation specifications and associated pricing forms
  • Tabulating, reviewing and analyzing vendor proposals and bids to ensure that the proposals meet minimum qualifications and solicitation requirements
  • Facilitating all phases of professional services acquisition process, including provider selection and supplier negotiations
  • Conducting research on established contracts and proposed technical requirements as needed
  • Supporting other clerical functions in the unit

Prior experience & qualifications
  • 2+ more years of experience utilizing computer skills in a professional office setting
