Job description

Seeking an experienced, qualified procurement agent for a large organization. Must be familiar with the RFP process. Prior training and professional experience in Supply Chain Management is essential. Only qualified candidates should apply. The jobsite is in a downtown Brooklyn location.

The purchasing agent is responsible for purchases made by the organization. Evaluates and approves vendors and authorizes purchase orders for goods or services. Duties include:

  • Providing high-level administrative support in the tracking and reconciliation of various contracts and in reporting on said contracts
  • Retrieving forms from vendors and verification of data
  • Serving as the liaison with vendors; resolution of tax compliance issues
  • Inputting data into various databases
  • Preparing reports containing information collected from background checks
  • Assisting in validation of background information relating to competitive and non-competitive procurements
  • Communicating effectively with vendors and with City, State and Federal agencies to resolve problems arising from background checks
  • Purchasing of goods or services for the organization as needed

Skills
  • Computer skills required
Prior experience & qualifications
  • At least 2-4 years of supply chain experience required
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, or one of the applied sciences
Languages
