Job description

We are seeking to fill a position for a highly motivated applicant with strong office skills and office experience! An opening is available for a Receptionist/Information Clerk to provide support to a busy public organization. The jobsite is located in the Financial District in Lower Manhattan.

Duties include:

  • Answering telephones in a professional manner and accurately recording and conveying messages to the appropriate contacts
  • Greeting and interacting with the public, directing visitors to the appropriate person or office
  • Scheduling meetings and trainings using Outlook, and the Robin system
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail
  • Typing office memoranda, letters, correspondence and documents as needed
  • Operating the photocopier and other office equipment
  • Organizing and maintaining office supplies
  • Providing data entry support as needed, and maintaining multiple spreadsheets
  • Performing general office duties

What you need to have

  • Good proficiency with computer skills is required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work as a team member
  • Able to work in a fast-paced office environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel is required
Prior experience & qualifications
  • 1+ years of Customer Service or Call Center experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience in providing excellent customer service
