Non-profit organization is seeking a top candidate to join their team of professionals to provide recruiting support for customers and individuals with disabilities (IWD) and other barriers to employment.

8:30am – 4:30pm (overtime may be required)

Duties include:

  • Thoroughly screening applicant résumés, interviewing skills, work readiness attitude and overall motivation
  • Promoting and providing feedback and information about our agency and available resources
  • Meeting with incoming applicants and conducting professional, timely and efficient interviews
  • Becoming familiar with Community Based Organizations (CBO); acquiring suitable referrals
  • Conducting research to find new CBO’s and sources of IWD referrals
  • Identifying, qualifying and adding applicants to the placement hotlist for various positions
  • Scheduling appointments via telephone and sending confirmation emails to applicants
  • Attending meetings, job fairs and other events to network and promote the company
  • Assisting the intake team with interviewing applicants; completing necessary paperwork as needed
  • Attending meetings to gather new and updated information about open and upcoming job orders
  • Performing data entry to look up and create applicant files in databases
  • Paying special attention to the wants and needs of the team and customers’ accounts
  • Coming up with new creative ideas/resources to assist with recruiting qualified candidates
  • Assisting with various projects as needed

What you need to have

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Accurate data entry and typing abilities
  • Possess excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Experience and/or knowledge of I-9 and new hire forms/requirements is a plus
  • Able to work with IWD and other barriers to employment (individuals from all walks of life) in a professional manner
  • Well-organized with excellent attention to detail
Prior experience & qualifications
  • At least 1 year of prior related experience
