Job description

This is a great opportunity for skilled and experienced clerical professionals to work on a long-term assignment assisting with an important data preservation project for a large organization. Scanning and indexing clerks will convert paper documents into an electronic file using networked scanners. Scanned documents will then be available for indexing. Indexed images become part of a permanent record and are forwarded to processors for review.

Job locations will in the Bronx, in Manhattan/Brooklyn, and in Queens. Duties will include:

  • Scanning documents in the correct order
  • Reviewing scanned results and checking for accuracy
  • Organizing all scanned documents into folders by category
  • Coding scanned documents for retrieval as instructed

What you need to have

  • Demonstrated data entry speed of a minimum 6000 ksph or 35 wpm
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Prior work experience performing data entry, scanning and imaging, or working with records is a strong plus
This opportunity requires fluency in English
