Qualified and highly organized Statistical Assistant is sought to provide actuarial support in the office of a large and prestigious organization. May summarize findings, create reports, maintain databases of statistical information, and manage hard files of surveys. May also perform administrative duties, such as scheduling, word processing, and data entry as needed. Comfortable interacting with clients, co-workers, and survey subjects.

Core duties include:

  • Compiling and analyzing data according to statistical formulas for studies
  • Performing actuarial computations, generating charts and graphs for use by actuaries
  • Providing quality assurance monitoring and compliance audits of case management reports and phone observations
  • Liaise with supervisors to develop training
  • Preparation of documentation
  • Assist as needed during peak call time

What you need to have

Skills
  • Must have excellent computer and Math skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient data entry and word processing skills
  • Able to create charts and graphs, verify information, detect errors, and summarize results
  • Able to manage data, and maintain electronic and hard-copy files
Prior experience & qualifications
  • Prior relevant experience and post-secondary education is required
